Terms of Service

These terms are between askhumans (“we”) and the company that opens a Swoop workspace (“you”). By creating a workspace, inviting people to one, or using Swoop, you agree to them. If you are accepting for a company, you confirm you may bind it. Our Privacy Policy is part of this agreement.

Swoop routes a question to the people in your company most likely to know, collects their answers as voice memos, and merges them into one answer. It can watch metrics in tools you connect and suggest questions when they move, and it can read a set of panels aloud as a briefing. The merged answer, the summaries and the suggestions are written by a model from what your people said and what your tools reported.

They are a synthesis, not a finding. People offer explanations; they are not proof. Agreement among colleagues is not evidence of cause. Read the memos before you act on a merged answer that matters.

A workspace belongs to the company whose work-email domain it uses; people with an email at that domain may join it. Your admins decide who can ask, who is indexed, and which tools are connected. You are responsible for the people you add and for keeping sign-in emails secure. Each person must be at least 16.

You own your questions, memos, transcripts, files and metrics. You give us a license to store, transcribe, summarize and analyze them solely to provide the service to you, and to your people as your admins configure it. We do not train models on your content, sell it, or show it to anyone outside your workspace except the providers listed in our Privacy Policy, who process it for us.

You are responsible for what your people record and upload. Do not use Swoop for anything unlawful, to harass anyone, to collect data about people who have not joined your workspace, or to probe or overload the service. We may remove content or suspend a workspace that does.

When you connect PostHog, Google, Stripe, Slack or any other tool, you confirm you are allowed to grant Swoop that access under your agreement with that provider. We read metrics only; we never write back. You can disconnect a tool at any time, which deletes its credential. Each provider’s own terms apply to your use of it.

All model processing runs on an open-weights model on Amazon Bedrock. We warrant that Swoop contains no code path that sends your content to OpenAI, Anthropic or any other foundation-model vendor. On the Enterprise plan you may provide an IAM role in your own AWS account, in which case model calls for your workspace run there and you are responsible for Bedrock model access and the cost of those calls in your account.

Two things are billed: the people who can ask, and the panels that reach an answer. Answering is free for everyone, on every plan, always. A panel nobody answers costs nothing. Prices, seat minimums and included panels are shown on the pricing page and in your workspace’s Billing settings; the Enterprise plan is priced by agreement.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew until canceled. You can change or cancel at any time from Billing; changes take effect at the next renewal and we do not refund partial months. Prices may change with 30 days’ notice; a workspace on agreed terms keeps them for the agreed period. Taxes are added where the law requires.

The Free plan is free for as long as we offer it. It keeps answers for a limited window; older panels are locked, not deleted, and return when you upgrade.

You can close your workspace at any time from Settings or by writing to us; we delete its data within 30 days except what we must keep for tax and accounting. We may suspend or end a workspace that breaks these terms, does not pay, or puts the service or other customers at risk, and we will say why unless the law prevents us. Sections on your content, liability and governing law survive.

We will run Swoop with reasonable skill and care and keep the promises in our Privacy Policy. Beyond that, Swoop is provided as is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a question will reach the right people, or that a merged answer is accurate or complete. Decisions you make from it are yours.

To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, consequential or special loss, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability under this agreement in any twelve months is limited to the amount you paid us in those twelve months. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.

You will cover us against claims arising from content your people put into Swoop or from tools you connected without the right to do so. We will cover you against claims that Swoop itself infringes someone’s intellectual property.

This agreement is governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, United States, and disputes go to its courts. If part of it is unenforceable the rest stands. It is the whole agreement between us about Swoop unless we have signed something else.

We may update these terms; we will post the new version here with its effective date and email workspace admins about material changes at least 14 days before they apply. Questions: zak@askhumans.com.
